Rakia is the Chief Innovation Officer at FIN; she focuses on the success of each project from beginning to end making sure the development team and client are moving forward as a cohesive and powerful unit. Her philosophy for strategic digital deployments and clean and consistent backend data structures is the foundation of the force of the development and project management team. Though she focuses mainly on managing our team, Rakia still programs and was recently recognized as one of FemTech's Powerful Woman Programmers in 2016. She also founded SATT, a women in technology initiative education girls on the power of being in the tech industry and work with the Center for Gender Equality in STEM.

Before FIN, Rakia led her database development firm for 10+ years for non-profits developing custom CRM systems for large non-profits. During that times she worked with organizations like Human Rights Campaign, American Youth Policy Forum, Department of Justice, Discovery Channel, Gates Foundation and Howard University building content and donor management databases recording budgets and donor engagements worth over $20 million dollars.
