Transforming Training Delivery at Accenture with DevOps
Think DevOps is only applicable for software engineering? Wrong! Turns out that you can use many DevOps tools and concepts for pretty much anything delivery related. Still don't believe me? Then come hear how we used AWS and Jenkins to automate and significantly reduce the time involved in creating and provisioning server environments for a major training program at Accenutre. We also used Windows To Go to create portable pre-configured developer workstations that are used during the training, ensuring a consistent learning experience for participants. In addition, we leveraged JIRA and Kanban to develop training materials in an iterative way, significantly reducing the time to launch a new training course. We also used JIRA to manage the logistics involved in setting up and running our training sessions.

NGINX as an Effective and Highly Available Content Cache
In this talk I will give an overview of NGINX's powerful and effective HTTP content caching functionality. I will walkthrough the various configuration directives and show how to set basic and advanced caching with NGINX. I will also provide various deployment configurations that can be used to setup a highly available content cache layer in your own environment. I will finish up my talk with a questions and answers session to ensure everyone leaves with the knowledge they need to get started in their own deployment.

DevOps and ChatOps in the Enterprise
Collaboration, shared visibility, and accelerating feedback loops are key tenants of DevOps.

ChatOps embodies all of these – and is quickly becoming the new strategy to help ensure your DevOps transformation is successful. With “conversation-driven” development and operations, ChatOps helps accelerate application releases, shift-left testing, monitoring and diagnosing, and can even be used for self-healing of Production failures.

In this session, we will share how you can easily integrate open source ChatOps integrations (Hubot) with a free DevOps Automation tool (ElectricFlow) and Docker, to orchestrate your entire delivery pipeline and enable on-demand automatic deployments, environment provisioning, on-going monitoring, troubleshooting, and more.

We will share our architecture, tips and best practices, as well as integrations with common data sources and point tools – including defect tools, SCM, CI, Test automation, environment monitoring and management, reporting and graphing tools, etc.

Mocking to Integrate - One More Step towards CD (Continuous Delivery)
Delivering value to the client as well as early and frequent feedback are at the heart of agile. Practices such as continuous integration and continuous delivery are key to reaching these objectives during software development.

The concept of continuous delivery can be understood as a set of automated steps that aim to take changes made during development to production as soon as possible, minimizing risks during implantation and guaranteeing the quality on each deployment. To deliver software in a continuous manner, development teams must be capable of, among other things, automating the execution of distinct sets of tests that verify the collaboration between various services.

In this talk, we will discuss existing patterns to test the interaction between services and how to enable the automation and repeatability of integration tests in different environments when our application depends on services that are developed and managed by external teams. Thus, bringing us a step closer to continuous delivery.

Accelerating DevOps with Assembly Lines
Software delivery has evolved in the past decade as organizations adopt a “DevOps mindset.” However, most organizations use a diverse and disconnected toolchain that has created “islands of automation” that are optimized for each silo, but do not provide visibility, auditability and traceability across the entire workflow. In this talk, we take a look at the next wave in DevOps which will address these issues and bring the discipline of hyper-efficient manufacturing to software delivery.
