It's one of the most used programming languages and with the explosion of server-side JS, this language is here for the long haul. However, most developers approach JavaScript out of necessity - tackling jQuery or Angular before learning the intricacies of JavaScript. 

In this talk, we will cover the common pitfalls developers face and useful features they miss. Then, with syntax out of the way, we will talk about common architectural patterns in JS code and how you can leverage them to make great software!
